Here's a new one for us...

So this morning we got up and Little Robby got ready for school as usual. Remarkably he was ready 10 minutes before the bus was expected, so he went outside in our driveway to wait. Normally all the kids congregate in our driveway to wait for the bus, but this morning when he went out no one was there. I thought to myself, "Wow, I guess everyone else cuts it close for catching the bus, too." More than ten minutes later I was surprised to hear the garage door going up, and then there was Little Robby in the kitchen. No children, no bus. What was I missing?!

Was this a late start day? (Look at the school website, no.) Did the clocks in the house get changed? (Check the satellite clock, no.) Did I miss daylight savings? (No, that happens on a Saturday to Sunday - and yes, this did pass through my head because we used to live in AZ where they do not observe daylight savings, so I'm out of practice.) What am I missing?!

Finally, I resort to calling the school and I find out...

...we have a weather delay due to fog! Weird! I've never heard of a delay due to fog, but okay. Hooray for Chap since he got a bonus two hours at home today!
