Flashback: Father and Son Campout

Since I have several posts to catch you up on, I will be brief in my comments. Right before we left for AZ (and a week and a half before our move), our ward held the annual Father/Son Campout. Despite all the craziness going on in our house with packing and preparing not only for our trip, but also our move to Iowa, Robby and Chap decided to go and have some father/son fun (with my consent, of course). I do have to give kudos to my husband for taking our son camping with a decent chance of rain with a leaky tent because he knew Li'l Robby would be very disappointed if they had missed it. Fortunately for them, it didn't rain.

We're here. We're happy. And we're still surrounded by boxes. That's okay though. We have been very blessed here. In the week and a half we have been in town, we have had lots of moving helpers, 3 dinner invites, a plate of cookies, and a lawning mowing. Life's great! So far, I like it here in Ames. I may not feel so in love with the area when winter comes, but for now we have had fabulous weather. And I do mean fabulous! You should come visit us!

So I said that I would show you pics of our house when we moved in. I have a collection of pictures at this link (robertandsharon.jalbum.net - click on the "Our House in Iowa" album) from when we saw the house the first time. The rooms will look different with our furniture and a few rooms have been and will be painted. It will be a few weeks before we can show you what things look like with our (not-quite-as-nice) stuff.
