Halloween Fun!

Halloween is over and the kids really had fun. This was the first year that everything made sense to Jenna. I am going to be curious if she still thinks that she gets candy for saying "trick or treat" at people's doorsteps. She's so cute, she would probably succeed at still getting candy from them.
Here is our handsome Jedi Knight and beautiful Cinderella. This picture was taken before our church trunk-or-treat party last Saturday night. (Caution: This is a bragging moment -- By the way, I am pretty proud of myself because I made Little Robby's tunic and robe. I told him to count that as extra special mom treatment because he will probably never again have a costume sewn by me for Halloween. Of course, since we are moving this year, don't be surprised if he is wearing the same costume next year. Nobody but our family will know.)

Here is our princess with her prince. (Okay, maybe he's the king because I am the queen.)

At the trunk-or-treat Robby was surprised to find his arch-nemesis, Darth Vader. These two enjoyed several light saber duels throughout the evening.

Fortunately, we were able to get them to stand still for a little bit to pose for a picture together.

And this is the part Jenna liked the best... the candy!

Actually, Robby sold us his candy for $2 a pound after he got home. He earned $5 total. I think he figured that Jenna would need help eating her candy so he could stand to sell some of his own and get the best of both worlds. And no, we are not trying to get the candy for ourselves, we got the idea from a local orthodontist who will buy candy from the kids. Now what are we going to do with all of it? Dad is going to take it to his office to share with his colleagues 'cause I sure don't need to be eating 2 1/2 pounds of candy by myself!

Cute costumes! I'm proud of your sewing skills, Sharon. Next year you guys could do a Star Wars theme with the whole family! You've already had practice with Princess Leia.

I second the motion for a family-wide Star Wars theme. Jenna could be an ewok, or R2-D2.

the photo of Jedi Robby and Darth Vader is fighting is awesome.

Cute pictures. I wish we could have been there to go trick or treating with you guys. Great job on Robby's costume. I am very impressed! I did some sewing myself this year. Any new news on where you'll be moving?

Jenna's not squatty and big enough to be an ewok. The costumes looked so good! I love Jenna's tiara.

If we all did Star Wars, who/what would big Robby be? I know, if I was really ambitious he could be C-3PO! (J/K)

Actually, I almost dressed up as Leia, but I was to exhausted to dress up after chasing Jenna around getting her dressed up.

Darth Vader, of course.

You're right Wendy! :) I'll have to think about that for next year. Of course, I would also have to convince him to participate!
