Catch-up... 4th of July

I count this as remarkable, two days in a row that I have had time to post a blog.  Back in the middle of summer we had a great time celebrating 4th of July with Linley and Kjell's family.  First we enjoyed fireworks on July 3rd (what I heard was that somebody in the city was not on top of things and didn't schedule a pyrotechnic company early enough to get a show on July 4th, oops!)  We arrived early to ensure we had a good spot.  Here are all the kids, minus our two youngest who were going to bed...

The sparklers were lots of fun.  They were always one of my favorites as a kid.

The next morning we all met up to watch the annual 4th of July parade.

As you can tell, lots of fun was had by all.

Fun, except when the big loud band scared Natalya.
But, we were all smiles again moments later.

And you can't forget the candy.  That's the whole reason the kids even want to go to the parade.
